In this unique experience, you’ll stay at the newly renovated Ureshino Wata-ya Villa, designed for digital nomads, and explore three of Ureshino’s most cherished traditional cultures: hot springs, tea, and ceramics.
At Wata-ya Villa, you’ll enjoy a comfortable long-term stay in a fully-equipped room with a dedicated workspace. You’ll also have access to a co-working space that includes a kitchen for added convenience.
The first experience is Ureshino’s renowned hot springs that are said to beautify and rejuvenate the skin. As part of the subscription plan, you can choose from 10 different options during your stay, including rental bicycles, spas, saunas, and Japanese sweets workshops.
The second experience involves the 500-year-old Ureshino tea tradition, where you’ll engage with local tea farmers and learn about the tea cultivation process, from farming to production, all while connecting with the local community.
The third experience is a hands-on pottery workshop featuring the 400-year-old tradition of Bizen Yoshida pottery. You’ll get the rare chance to take part in the pottery-making process, something not typically offered to the public.

This is a foodie tour where visitors can enjoy the local food culture, including the "authentic agricultural produce" grown in the soil of Usuki, as well as the local brewing traditions. From the careful cultivation of the soil, to the fields where the produce grows, and finally to the dinner table after being cooked, this program allows visitors to experience the Usuki style of the cycle of food and invites them to appreciate food even more deeply.

Satsuma Samurai Spirit Tour in Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture
Samurai existed in Japan from the medieval to the modern eras. They trained in swordsmanship and other arts in order to protect their lord, their families, and themselves. However, they also emphasized spiritual training through the learning of etiquette, tea ceremonies, and other cultural practices. Their bravery, wisdom, and aesthetic sensibilities were passed on to future generations, and have given rise to many cultures, traditions, and ideas.
Satsumasendai City in Kagoshima Prefecture is a historically “samurai” city, where the spirit of the Satsuma samurai remains strong. The Samurai Program includes a guided tour of the largest scale armor-production site in Japan, an experience dressing in premium armor, an iaido experience, and a samurai dinner to deeply get in touch with the life and philosophy of the Satsuma samurai. -
A Special November Sumo Tour in Fukuoka Prefecture
Sumo wrestling is a typical November event in Fukuoka and a well-known example of Japan's unique culture. In this tour, participants get access to box seats for the Grand Sumo Kyushu Tournament. During the main tournament, participants get to watch the excitement of the morning practice sessions. They will then be served a meal of chanko (a typical sumo wrestler meal), which includes a chanko-nabe hot pot specially prepared for the sumo stable. This tour also includes things that can only be done in Fukuoka, such as visits to cultural sites, shrines related to sumo, and an exhibition focused on sumo culture.
Partipicants will be accompanied by a guide, so they can relax and enjoy the tour. -

Miyamoto Musashi, Japan’s Greatest Swordsman: Experience the Spirit of Musashi with the 18th Head of the Niten Ichi-ryu Style (The Book of Five Rings: Ground, Water, Fire, and Wind editions)
The spirit and culture of Miyamoto Musashi, Japan's greatest swordsman, still lives on in Kumamoto Prefecture.
Kumamoto is where Miyamoto Musashi spent the last years of his life. Miyamoto Musashi was invited there as a guest of Hosokawa Tadatoshi, the first lord of Kumamoto, and spent the last five years of his life in Kumamoto. There, he established the military art Niten Ichi-ryu, and wrote The Book of Five Rings. This book, which explains the spirit of the samurai, is nowadays read by people throughout the world. And now, 380 years later, there is a modern-day samurai—an 18th-generation samurai who has inherited the spirit of the Niten Ichi-ryu, and who is working to promote it in modern times. Spending time with him and experiencing the essence of the spirit conveyed in The Book of Five Rings, is sure to be a truly one-of-a-kind experience.

ART FAIR ASIA FUKUOKA 2024
The 9th Art Fair Asia will be held from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22 at the Fukuoka Kokusai Center, a convention facility in Hakata well-known by Fukuoka residents. The event will be co-hosted by Fukuoka City, which has worked to promote Fukuoka Art Next with the aim of creating a colorful city full of art, and Culture Vision, an NGO that creates opportunities for creators to co-create beyond the boundaries of industry, government, and academia. The goal of the event is to open up a diverse array of possibilities in Fukuoka City, a city that is already full of human encounters and interaction.
This year, the venue will serve as a sort of hub of exchange between Japan and other Asian countries. The focus will be on artists from around Asia and Kyushu. The event will also include collaborations with art museums, universities, companies, and art fairs in Kyushu and other parts of Japan and overseas, in an attempt to develop even more as an art fair based on the concept of Asia. Fukuoka City’s "FaN Week" will be held at the same time as the art fair, covering the entire city of Fukuoka in art. This one-of-a-kind experience is sure to stimulate the creativity of art fans and visitors in general.

Gastronomy Tour of Aso Caldera's Finest Produce and Japanese Brown Wagyu
Minami Aso Village at the southern foot of the vast Aso Caldera is a healing sanctuary abundant in nature and pure spring water. Shirakawa Suigen, which was selected as one of the 100 Best Natural Waters in Japan, is among one of its most famous springs.
Participants will partake in a sumptuous dining experience that stimulates the senses, featuring Aso Japanese Brown wagyu and other carefully-selected local ingredients. Lunch is served on an open-air trolley car, whereas dinner is prepared right in front of you by chefs using wood and other natural flames.
Participants will also experience traditional Japanese culture in an authentic tea ceremony performed by members of the 400-year-old Urasenke school founded by tea master Sen Rikyu. The ceremony will take place at Shirakawa Suigen, which was selected as one of the 100 best waters by the Ministry of the Environment.
The rich nature and local cuisine of this volcanic region will provide an extraordinary experience that will heal both the mind and body.

BIS F25 x The World of Anime: Luxury Anime Experience on Ice in Fukuoka
