Pursue the Finest Oma Tuna, AKA the "Black Diamond"! Try Single-Line Fishing for Some of Japan's Finest Oma Tuna.
Oma tuna is jet-black, can grow up to 3 meters long and weigh up to 400 kilograms, and is a top-grade fish that is also known as the "black diamond." The area around Tsugaru Strait passes by Oma in the northernmost point of Honshu and is a treasure trove of high-quality saury, mackerel, squid, and other seafood. The Oma tuna, which thrive on eating these sea creatures, are considered to be the best tuna in all of Japan. In fact, at the first auction at the Tsukiji market in 2019, Oma tuna fetched a record price of 333.6 million yen!
In this single-line fishing experience, participants can try their hand at actual tuna fishing under the guidance of real Oma fishermen. This is no ordinary sightseeing experience—here you will have the chance to reel in the miraculous Oma tuna with your very own hands! But remember, whether or not you actually catch any Oma tuna all comes down to luck. Fishing enthusiasts and beginners are welcome, as you will be fully guided on the best ways to fish.
You will also learn how to cut up the tuna before having the opportunity to eat what you just caught. You will be taught in the unique local fashion—a truly high-end and authentic Japanese food experience.
In case of rain, the fishing tour will instead consist of a visit to observe the landing and packing of tuna. You can still enjoy various enriching activities to get the full experience of tuna in Oma.
An interpreter guide will accompany you on this tour. A private cab can be used for transportation from the meeting point.

The 52nd Japan Cup Karate-do Championships Premium Tour!
The tour includes exclusive seats at the 52nd Japan Cup Karate-do Championships to be held at the Nippon Budokan on December 8, 2024, for an unprecedented and special experience. These seats will allow spectators to watch from a location normally only accessible to staff and affiliates of the tournament. The premium tour will allow participants to observe the athletes' warm-up routine, which is not open to the public, and take a commemorative photo with the winner's cups (the emperor’s cup and the empress’s cup).
Rising Sun Karate Spectacle
In January, 2025, a new karate demonstration event will be held at the Kyoto Budo Center (formerly known as Butokuden), the oldest martial arts demonstration hall in Japan. This event will feature kata, a designated series of defensive and offensive karate movements, demonstrated by first class karate players.
During the event, there will also be a hands-on tour for visitors interested in karate and Japanese martial arts. The tour is a one-day experience that includes training under the guidance of actual karate players, a karate workshop, and trying out Japanese swords, and other elements of Japanese culture.

The "Original 'My Sake' Brewing Course" is a new high value-added plan that has been established within the existing "One-Week Sake Brewing Experience Program."
The event will include a sake seminar where participants can learn about the relationship between Sado and local sake, a culinary pairing experience in which participants can tour with local celebrities to appreciate Sado sake and food pairings cultivated through the area's Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System (GIAHS), a Sado liqueur-making event showcasing fruits from Sado, a sake karuta card game to deepen participants' understanding of Japanese culture, and a social event for participants to connect with each other and share memories of their trip.

Black Pine Restaurant and Sightseeing Train
Board the Kyoto Tango Railway Kuro-Matsu (Black Pine) restaurant train and make your journey by rail while taking in the spectacular views from the windows, as well as enjoy a meal prepared by a top chef with plenty of local ingredients.

However, many of Tohoku's beautiful landscapes still remain, and you can encounter the day-to-day lives of the many people who have overcome this adversity.
In this tour, indulge in local culture, cycling, kayaking, and other activities unique to this region, as well as walk along the Michinoku Coastal Hiking Trail, a national trail with a total length of over 1,000 kilometers that opened on June 9, 2019.

Make your very own fireworks at the Kakinoki fireworks workshop in the city of Nagahama on the northern shore of Lake Biwa, the largest and oldest lake in Japan.
